Business headshots present a unique challenge and opportunity for photographers.

It’s a challenge because there is almost no way to cut corners in the lighting and setup. Sure, it’s possible to get a nice headshot with natural light or only one light. But corporate clients know the difference between a decent “LinkedIn” photo and professionally done portrait from an experienced photographer.

A proper executive headshot is usually going to require a more involved lighting setup, with multiple off camera flashes dialed in at different levels to achieve the perfect look. A professional headshot photographer must be able to quickly and easily setup the “studio” on location, even in less than ideal circumstances.

But this challenge is also an opportunity, because while everyone these days has a camera in their pocket, only an experienced photographer can deliver professional looking results consistently and in quickly.
